Breeders to Dealers??

Hi all

i've seen two dealers so far who are using the same breeder in Holland to get stock from, and then to sell.
as i am not in the uk, and the horses are first sent to the uk, i'd prefer to contact the breeder directly. but, well, as dealers, they aren't just going to give you the breeder like that are they!

if anyone knows the dutch breeding "circuit" (ie. the big who's who) please PM me so i can tell you who the two dealers are and perhaps manage to find the breeder! (is the ethical?)

Ask to see the passport of the horse you are buying and the breeders name will be in it.

Try doing a google search for the breeders name specific to this site.

What you are doing is totally ethical lol but you have to weigh up the pro's of using a UK based dealer as should anything go wrong it is much easier to go after a UK based organisation than a Dutch one etc (I suppose it depends really on how much they are marking up the horses really)!!
The other thing you need to clarify is if the dealers are actually getting horses from the breeders directly not via an agent (which is far more common) some of the big agents breed aswell so maybe some dealers see it as a half truth really?!
All a bit cloak and dagger if you ask me!!!
