breeding and heights!!!

iv got a 15.1hh mare she had her first foal last year and am hopin 2put her in foal this year, ideally i wud like 2use moviestar or tyson but they are both 16.2hh, do we think is 2big a size difference?? she is tb and her full bros r much bigger than her but she was an orphan so shes much smaller, any advice

it's not her height but her pelvic room

2nd foals are easier than the first so you could goto a bigger stallion

my 14.1 mare foaled easily to a 16.3 stallion - but she is native x and has good pelvic room

16.2 onto 15.1 should be fine - providing the first foaling was 'easy'

Should be absolutely fine, especially as it is not her first foal.

Is she very petite or does she have 'child bearing hips'?

Candlelite is 14.2, expected to make 15.2 but didn't, and looks like a 15.2 on shorter legs!
She was AId to a 16.1h stallion and popped her foal out as if it were nothing!

There is a belief that the mare dictates the size of foal at birth although you will always get the few horror stories.

I always think that there is no problem with a hands difference and unless she is desperately narrow I can't see a problem at all.

thank you lol, ye i love them both do rly like walentino but i think that moviestar or tyson shall do for this year. and seein tyson at the regionals did make me fall for him, ye for a littl mare she is quite roomy, now i jus gotta find another mare 2use this year!!!
