Hi,
I have recently decided that I might like to breed from my wonderful 14'3hh Liver Chestnut Mare who is a polo pony and has the most wonderful conformation, temperament and is an excellent pony. She is in wonderful condition and is coming up 20 years old. She is still playing.
I am giving up for a few seasons and she is playing this summer with my boyfriend, she will continue to play until she cannot and then will be retired and have a home for life with me.
A few people have suggested breeding from her.
What do you all think?
I would be keen to have a quirky coloured horse? Either appaloosa/coloured/any suggestions?
Also I would want it to hopefully be no bigger than 15hh the smaller the better?
I need ANY ADVICE!!
I know nothing about breeding.
Also she is in excellent condition, lively and happy and does not lool her age, but has a very slight grade 1 sometimes 2 heart mumur: anyone have experience with this?
I would not want her to die if this put too much strain on her. She could be stables/would be exceptionally well cared for etc etc
Many thanks
xx
