Anyone know what’s in it? It apparently smells horrible so I’m wondering if it is just expensive neem oil with a few additions?

Only description I can find is “made from natural ingredients”.

No idea what's in it, it does smell horrible but does really work also in my experience. I actually don't use it personally but used to use it regularly on a polo yard I worked on.

Does it work on horseflies? The smell of it nearly made me heave, but if it means I can ride without being attacked I'll try to find a way around it!

It's a German brand fly spray. The description on German Amazon lists some ingredients:

Rough translation: Contains aloe vera, sesame oil, avocado oil, walnut oil. Typical "woody" scent through specially balanced mix of birch tar oil, "cadeoil" (no idea what that is supposed to be), idris yahgi oil, cedarwood oil, citronella oil, mint oil and clove oil.

This is a "natural" spray aimed at controlling horse flies. The same brand also makes a "normal" fly repellent (Zedan), which I've used in the past (with a similar list of stinky oils in it), but found it less effective than something with DEET or icaridin in it. But maybe the stinkiness is what works on horse flies? Mixed reviews on Amazon, with some people claiming it stinks a lot, but doesn't work very well. Others seem happy.

ETA: just found another description on a different German webpage, which mentions it also contains the insect repellent IR3535. I think that's the same stuff as power phaser's active ingredient. Also, Geraniol (not sure if that also goes by some other name).

I can believe that it contains the same ingredient as Power Phaser, that makes me nearly throw up to & is even worse when mixed with horse sweat :(

Brilliant! Many thanks :) I don’t like using things that don’t explain what is in them.

After tonight’s ride plagued by horseflies I’m tempted to try it.
