Thoughts? I love Hot Rumour, having seen him out hunting. Anyone have any info?

I have a two year old in my care by Hot Rumour. He's a very good looking animal who moves beautifully. Most important of all though is that he has a very amenable temperament, & is a very quick learner.

Thanks all. I might have to make the trek down to see them. I was adamant I didn't want a tb but keep looking at my mare and shes just sooo chunky!
Any ideas what the 1/8th of Hot Rumour is that isn't tb?
Zebedee - thats a good report.

Might be wrong but there is a mare on the NTR register with the name of Venus II (NTR Vol. 2 p181) Breeder Unknown, born 1966, bay, by Raincheck (TB) out of Dam Unregistered by Steelpoint (TB).
Venus II is the name of Hot Rumour's granddam.
Could be worth checking it out, as it fits in time wise.

The best thing you can do is ring the stud. Diana Scot will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. If you do go for a visit take loads of photos so that she can best advise you - she might for instance think that one of her others may be more suitable. I'd say he would be a good choice for your mare though.

I did email her and she replied to say they were flat out but would fully reply in a day or two. I asked her to recommend which of her boys she thought would be best. I will then scoot down there in the autumn and meet them.

I've also got an IWD foal who is super. The service you get from Diana and Michael is great, they are good at speedy email replies to queries from anxious owners, etc. If you take photos of your mare with you when you go to see them they will tell you if Hot Rumour is the right chap for her.

bye!

I have a 2yo by Hot Rumpur out of a welsh cob mare. Lovely horse with a superb temperment. Fab people. Well worth a phone call. May go back and use him again.

Will post photos of him if I can work out how to do it!!!
