I have and i won't be going back. My girl hates that course . There is one where you jump over a fence down a dark slop ,1 maybe 2 strides over a ditch back up 1 stride and fence out. She hates that fence. I've been there twice now and both times she has refused to jump that fence, it's the only place she jumps bad. There is also a fence where you jump into a pen and then back out, and a few fences jumping into woods.
We have been-but not for a few years. From what I remember it is quite a tricky unaff course. Quite twisty if I recall. As mentioned... a bit of jumping in and out of woods too.
You need to speak to Thistle... as I noticed her daughter competed there last year (she did very well) so she will have a very up to date opinion.
Just to let you know...that on Saturday 18th they open the course for schooling, in case you would prefer that.
Anyway... Good Luck
Hmm, I was only going to do the 2'6 as I really need to get out over a small course and it was the only one I could find that's close enough. It was either that or Potton which we've done before and isn't really much of an ask at all.
Thanks for your replies, I think I will go and walk the course the day before, with an open mind.....
I haven't done a competition there for a few years, but from what I can remember it was ok for a local comp. There were a couple of tricky ones such as the rail, down the slope, ditch then back up over a rail as sarah23 said.
