Brewers yeast to help with hormonal mares?

Hi,

A friend recently suggested I put my young mare onto brewers yeast as it is supposed to act, both as a calmer and for hormonal mares.

I was wondering if anyone had used this before for such purposes and, if you have, did you see any difference?

I give brewers yeast to our cob to try and stop the mites chewing at him. Instead of a marmite sandwich

I fed it to or mares but not for hormonal problems.

Maybe because of the B vitamins in it, they think it will help hormonal mares???

Doesn't do anything to mine, except help keep the flies away, and balance the gut a bit.
