Is this a good supplement for stressy, anxious horses?

It is said to have a calming effect, yes. Same goes for calmag/magox.

If their stressy behaviour is caused by issues in the gut, yes. It has a double anti-inflammatory effect and can calm an unsettled gut which can, with some horses, settle behavioural problems. It's a good idea anyway, I think. My barefoot horses were footie when I ran out of brewers yeast this summer and came right again when I got a new supply of yea-sacc.

i used brewers yeast on my TB, and to be honest it calmed him too much! i now recommend it to anyone who needs their horse to be calm....amazing stuff but even when i dropped the dosage he went too calm....if there can be such a thing! he is now on magcalm which has been brilliant!

He's quiet to ride and handle but has separation anxiety and is stressy at times. Already using a magnesium calmer but it doesn't have any affect.

Cheaper than what?? Brewer's yeast can be bought cheaply and you need not feed a lot.
