Just listened to an interview with the art critic Brian Sewell, who was talking about his rescue dogs. He's written an autobiography about his life with them (and it sounds like there have been a lot!). He was very entertaining on the radio, and a lot of what he said made me chuckle and nod in agreement (he lets his dogs in the kitchen and in his bed because they are his friends - I don't let mine in bed because there would be no bed left, and they don't sleep much - but they ARE my friends). The autobiography might be a good Christmas present for anyone doggy, plus I think the fact that he rehomes rescue dogs probably deserves some attention. Worth listening again to the interview if you have the chance. Good work Brian Sewell!

I've looked at Radio 4 programming schedule and can't find any reference to this interview...what programme was it on please??

It was on the Today programme, Saneta.

I can't find it either actually - perhaps they didn't put it up, which is a shame. It was only short - about 5 minutes.

Here's a link to a piece by him for the express on the subject. Aww. Look at his GSD!

It was a very nice interview and nice to see a glimpse the personal side of someone I only knew as a art critic .
I think the book will be a nice read .

Thanks for the info Sadken. By coincidence, I'm going to an 'Oldie' lunch on Tuesday, and Brian Sewell is one of the after dinner speakers, and he'll be talking about his book, as well as book signing of course. I think I know several people who might be getting a certain book for Christmas now!
