If you've ever been on holiday to the Isle of Wight, or are one of the 'Islanders', you have probably visited Brickfields Horsecountry. Sadly, it's no longer a tourist attaction and everything is being auctioned off. Loads of the stuff is just fascinating, I worked there in the early '80s as an instructor but would also take visitors on tours around the museum. I so want to buy the skeleton!

Hope this isn't 'advertising', purely meant for people to have a look at things you don't see very often and, maybe, give a few memories of visiting!

Just had a look, really interesting stuff and kinda sad that it has to be sold. I hope they find a fab home for the 19.2 shire.

What a shame it is all being sold off.......also hope the horses find great homes, 19.2hh that can be ridden  huge hoss!!!!

That's a shame as I have just emailed them asking if they'd be interested in selling my new products!
I used to go out to the I.O.W every 6 weeks back in the 90's, working on site at stables round the island and got to know them, (the saddler and shop manageress there) well, they won't be wanting to sell anything of mine then!
Thanks for the info, I have relations out on the isle so may be going over myself again soon so can go and see them, Oz

The shop, riding school and show centre is staying, it's just the tourist part that is no more. Hopefully, the 'facilities' will be improved too, before the tourist stuff it was by far the best place to buy tack etc from.
