Have just entered the intro here for my youngster but am wondering what its like there as never actually been. (Think I was meant to go there one year and broke down on the way!!)

It will be his 3rd intro, having done West Wilts and Aston unaff previously. Ive seen course photos which look very simple and straighforward but never give the true impression anyway!

Bricky is a really interesting intro because you feel like you go somewhere and jump a true xc course. Nothings big but there's lots of nice natural features. Moon did it as her second and bar gawping all the way to the 1st fence and tripping into it, it really inspired her with confidence.

The thing I dont like there is the dressage- warmup is not flat at all and the xc runs distractingly close to the arenas

I've heard Bricky is a tough one, although it's one of those local events to me that I've never actually been to.. Interesting comments Boss, I'm hopeful it's a perfect last Intro before PN. Eep at dr close to xc though.. P0ggi0, are the course photos on EWW? Maybe we can meet up too?

Its a lovely event. Very well organised with very friendly people running it. I agree with Boss about the dressage, it can cause problems cos the warm up is small and on a slope and the XC runs above your head when you do dressage. Fine if youve got a sane horse! Sj is in a big flat ring and always very nice and XC is very well built, normally up to height with quite a few questions.
The course builder told me he has beefed the intro up a bit this year with addition of new jumps. Dont worry though, if there is anything big or difficult they always offer an alternative.
I am doing the intro too so let me know your no and section and i will say Hi if i see you.

So your boy will be about the same as mine then, Im not holding out full hope we get in as he's entered on a ticket...although im a full member. Fingers xd they don't ballot!
Yep the course pics are on EWW from last year, looks fine from those tbh and big and bold won't be a problem for mine, its more turning we have issues with!

Will have to meet up if we both get in
