Horse was found grazing in a nearby field apparently. The carriage looks a right botch job, so I would suspect the driver wasn't an experienced and reputable wedding carriage professional.

i just read that as my homepage is yahoo!
good job ours dont spook coz they do weddings, filming, did a funeral today, theyre practically bombproof and experienced drivers and assistants. glad it werent us!

If you look at the harness and type of carriage it points to a very rough job, the traces are the wrong type for the harness and the type of harness is comonly used by pikeys. Bet they haven't got public liability insurance

OH and I were also commenting on the 'botch' carriage, a home built jobby. I'd like to know why the horse bolted. glad ours is bombproof as we do weddings and things too.

THE horse was blatently not a professionals wedding horse. the harness didnt fit right,, It just didnt look to clever.. Accident waitingto happen..

Glad the horse is ok..

It was 2 miles until they crashed into a car.

One of the first safety rules that I was taught was that no one ever got into a carriage before the driver, and the driver should be the last to dismount. So where was the driver when the photo was taken?
If they were this lax before moving off then everything they did should be suspect.

I was really shocked when I heard as its not all that far from me and so was all over radio etc. Hopefullt it won't put anyone off from using horses in ceremonies due to one incident that sounds as if it was 'iffy' from the start!

I thought the carriage & harness looked all wrong as well .
Sad if it puts people off using horses & carriages - I had one when I got married ( 20 years ago

) & it was a very professional set up & turned out cheaper than hiring a wedding car , which was surprising as horse & carriage came from a different county !
