By "small headed" I mean quite delicate (TB x). He's had his current Fieldhouse one for years now and I think he could do with a new one, but his current one is a bit "fat" for his head. Need a basic cavesson bridle (I dont use a flash or anything either). Id like a decent make (Stubben / Sabre / Jeffries etc.) but Ive had a look and there's so many different ones, its hard to know without trying it on! Any recommendations?

You could look at something made up individually. Either buying parts individually or some companies will make a bridle up for you like this for the same price..ie cob head piece..pony cheeks or whatever combination. Think Kate Negus and Track Right do this (or at least they have done when I last bought from them!). I have a not too dainty headed TBX but Sabre Cob size is too big for her as is Stubben!

I had one made to measure by an english saddler who now lives abroad. It was much cheaper than many of the named brands, fantastic leather and it fits like a dream. It was made exactly how I wanted it. No messing about swapping parts to make it fit

Should I ever be in the position of buying another bridle I would def go for this option again.
