Hi I want to get a new bridle where the noseband is a completely separate piece, as I’d only actually use a noseband if I had to for competing.

However I’d like the noseband strap that goes over the poll to sit on top of the headpiece and not underneath it. I’d also like the headpiece to be anatomical, ideally one of those ‘air’ types that are raised up away from the poll. On top of all that I’d like cheekpieces that have buckles that sit on the outside rather than billets.

I’m happy to build my own but ideally from the same brand/range as it will be Havana so I want the browns to match!!

I can’t find anything that ticks all of those boxes…any ideas please?

Get one made to measure by a saddler. You can then get exactly what you need.
I did this and also had an extra pair of reins and a bradoon slip head in the same leather so could convert to a double if needed.
20 odd years later it is still going strong having been altered for a second pony!
Price-wise it was in the region of an off-the-shelf bridle of the same (good) quality.

the lavello bridle has noseband on top, here it is without noseband, special grove on top of head piece https://www.randrcountry.com/saddle...es&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=invokeab

I wanted similar and it does seem virtually impossible to find.
I think most proper anatomical head piece have a mono crown.
You’d be better buying a comfort bridle so it would be padded but not shaped as such.
I don’t think you’d get an air type with a fully removable nose.

Look at horsemanship saddlery. They do one where the headpeice can be used to attach a noseband and cheekpeices and you add a throatlash onto the cheekpeices. If you don't want to use the noseband you can use the straps for a different throstlash so it can be used 2 ways. Really lovely leather too, both my horses have one

Close in design but might give you some ideas
I’d have to wonder whether four extra buckles to adjust right up behind the horse’s ears is the best innovation?
In this weather, if not absolutely needing the noseband or browband for control, remove, and ditch all unnecessary weight, buckles or straps to sweat beneath!

Sounds like I might have to compromise somewhere but there are some good thoughts here so thanks for the suggestions!
