getting all new tack for my new horse- we are making do with an old bridle and my sisters horses saddle, went to get saddle fitted on saterday but they didnt have anything that fitted her as she is very high withered, but mum is sorting that out.

I am in charge of buying her a new bridle, nothing too pricey as It is mum AND dads birthday this week and valentines day so i have alot of stuff to buy, so looking to spend no more than £100 for the bridle. But would like something reliable that isn't going to fall apart and is nice and supple. and brown. any recommendations?

All these Stubben ones are well within your budget, and Stubben bridles are lovely

anyone know if i would get away with a white padded bridle at pony club events? i know i can for bsja and be, but want to do pony club events this year and found a nice stubben bridle with white padding, cant find anything in pony club rule book, it says "tack must be black or brown" but does that mean i cant have white padding?

I have a feeling white padding isn't allowed for pony club, I'm sure I remember hearing that in the past but as always it's probably a rule that some branches enforce and others don't. For example you are not officially allowed binding on numnahs or saddlecloths but not every branch checks when they run a competition. So many people were caught out once they all ended up riding without saddlecloths.

Stubben bridles seem to last quite well, although I have known 2 of the ones with plit headpieces break. GFS Extra bridles are nice too.

Pretty sure white padding isn't correct at pony club- it depends really if you want to win the turnout! I don't think they would stop you riding!
Stubben gets my vote- Stubbens have really nice leather and look nice for ages.

First of all what size bridle are you after and what will you be doing with the horse/pony. there are many types but i recommend a stubben from anything else and can get brand new ones in any colour/style for no more than £120 but if you are gettiong a saddle too id go for a shires as they are stlish and fantastic prices. take a look on www.shiresequestrian.co.uk
