I have mixed feelings about them but will say in their favour that they do always reply to your correspondance and can usually get out to see you within a reasonable amount of time.
I started using Bridlepath about 6 months ago and have found them very good. They came out to me last week and the service was again first class. First visit was Laura and her father, last week we had Laura and a trainee, whose name I hav forgotten!
Have used Peter and Laura for years, have always been very happy with the service we have received.
OH (Dark_Kinight)has recommened them to many of his clients, who also agree with us!
I had Ali come out to me a few months back and I was extremely impressed, very nice and very thorough, explained everything I was really pleased with the service.
I had Ali out to my horse recently and am unconvinced by the saddle she fitted. I loved it, the horse went well but there seemed to be quite a lot of 'bounce' at the back of the saddle. Not so much that the saddle was hitting me up the backside in trot. It just didn't quite sit down on her back enough to look right.
Just wanted people's opinions on the saddles they have had fitted and whether they have conitnued to be happy over time with the saddle they were sold.
melle - if I was you I would call them and explain you are not happy - in my experience with them they will come back out and get it right for you.
As I say we have only ever had Peter but have spoken to Laura - all our saddles from there fit us and the horse and continue to do so. I expect they will be diappointed that you are not happy and try and put it right for you.
I haven't bought saddle yet as said I would think about it. But obviously if I call them out again - thats another £40 call out. Maybe if I call them out again then Laura/her Dad would come out as I think they are the Master Saddlers aren't they?
Only bad experiences for me im afraid, and i know a few others that have too. One bought a new saddle from them, fitted by them, got them to come out and check it 3 months later to check flocking etc, as she wasnt happy and said that there was no way the saddle ever fitted the horse.
The other the pony i have now, when i bought him 4 years ago they had a saddle from bridlepath, which caused the pony so much discomfort he was bucking and bolting.
