Hello,

I'm just looking to see what differing opinions there are on Micklem/PS of Sweden High Jump/Collegiate comfitec bridles. Our pony wears a hand me down cavesson bridle which fits fine but he has been a little fussy lately. Teeth checked, massage lady and he did have a sore neck and a colic followed by choke in the last few months so vet has checked fairly extensively with bloods etc but want to make sure every single thing is as comfy as possible. Saddle has been checked and all good. Just wears a french link snaffle currently but that may be worth checking too. Does have a pelham for extra brakes when needed. I'd really appreciate thoughts on this type of bridle as really don't know much.

I'd really recommend getting a bitting specialist out. Mine seemed happy in his Micklem but after pony was able to choose which bit he liked best, he's going better than ever and I've been able to ditch the Micklem for a regular bridle (and even remove the noseband).

In the long run, it worked out cheaper than trying multiple bridles or bits.
