bridles with stitched in bits

Do any of you use or own bridles with the bits stitched in? I have a lovely handmade double bridle (unsure of its age) with stitched in bits, just wondered if its common practise? (also thinking about selling it so wondered if there is much of a demand)

We did with the race horses. Never seen it on a non racing bridle though.

Haven't a clue I've got a bridle that is over 25yrs old and the noseband loops onto the bit straps, never seen anything like it before and since.

My double bridles have the bits stitched in. One is very old - it belonged to my grandfather, who used to show heavyweight hunters. I had the old bits removed, and new ones sewn in. The other was made to measure for my dressage horse, and I requested that the bits were stitched in. The reins are also stitched onto the bits. I love how they look.
