bridles

i posted this on competition riders aswell but i am desperate
do you have to wear a double bridle in part bred ridden arab at a bhs show?
because my pony is snaffle mouthed and easy to stop but my instructor wants me in a pelham (but i know misty will probably rear with it being so srong)

anyone know what to do??

If you put her in a double or pelham couldn't you only use the snaffle rein?
I don't know whether snaffles are OK, sorry.

Any bit is only as strong as the hands which use it. Get a rubber or a vulcanite pelham, and go easy on the curb rein, and yoiu should still have a kind bit.
