Off on our camping hols soon.

I would love to find somewhere for my daughter and I to have a trek out, she's 9 and confident in walk, trot and canter.

any suggestions anyone?

Thanks

Why dont you put this in the south west regional forum on here, you might get a few more answers! :) I am not Bridport way but if you go too Studland they have a trekking/riding stables that is supposed to be quite good! :0

Yes Lulworth stables ! Lovely hacks which over look durdle door and Lulworth cove :)
I grew up round there and Lulworth is lovely riding. Studland used to mean you could ride on the beach, but is a long way from Bridport. There will be some closer to Bridport, but growing up used to ride at Bovington or Lulworth.

I will, thanks.

I drive up that way occasionally...... know that at a place called Burton Bradstock which is just on the east side of Bridport, on the coast, there's a place where there's like a Golf Club (travelling eastwards this is, away from Bridport) on your right, then you come to a right hand bend in the road, and there's a holiday/caravan & camping place on the right after the golf club, and you can see a load of horses in the field. I gather its a trekking centre?? Don't know how you'd find out about it, probably ask at the holiday place?

But would imagine its the typical sort of "trekking" set up, don't know, it may not be!

Worth asking mebbe? Sorry don't know anymore, but I keep seeing the horses in the field! They're mainly cobby types and some do look rather nice, if you like cobs that is!
