Hey anyone know what Brightling Park CIC** is like length, how it rides etc, also what the intermediate is like.
Thanks in advance.

Most of the fences on the intermediate are ok - I have only done 3 intermediates which include brightling twice once clear & once with 20 pens. Quite a few straightforward fences but the course is quite hilly with a long uphill drag to finish.
1st water last year had a double of logs before the step/drop into water. There is a steep hill to a folly and the jump there is usually a one stride double to a bounce which is solid rails and not a particularly knid profile. Having said that it doesn't cause a great deal of problems. In my first year there was a long option which I took, last year it was possible to fiddle an option which I tried & failed. Had I been doing it this year my plan was simply to try the straight route.
The 2nd water last year was a rolltop to large steps into water. The rolltop was a fair way back ( a couple of strides I think) but the course builder wanted it closer but J. Nolan persuaded him to move it back a bit. I suspect that it might be a bit closer this year.
I haven't walked the CIC** it uses some of the same jumps but also has more combinations. There is an additional loop which has a double of cricket stumps which are quite narrow that always cause a few problems.

They usually work very hard on the ground as given the time of year it would otherwise be very hard. It was ok last year & I suspect that this year it will be great.

I hope that this helps

It's def a course to get your teeth into. Not an easy int or 2* but rewards bold riding. When I did it it was a long track and needed a fit horse, time was pretty hard to get I seem to remember.
