I went a few years ago but I think theyve changed the intermediate a fair amount since then- anyone any idea what sort of difficulty it is now?

I think still pretty straightforward. Big and bold. old advanced is now 2 star. so old intermediate still intermediate.

Huge sj - as ever round us!

not for the faint hearted, its still a fair old track, as vic said the showjumping always big and the arena on a slight slope which doesnt help. Quite often comes up hard but they do keep the sheep off the track as far as poss so year before was ok considering. last year tho it was a bog!

Fantastic, thanks

Rode it on Boss must be 4 years ago or so and loved it, was just my type of track and wandering whether to have it as a tentative aim for Moon's first one- she'd be suited by big and bold and I seem to remember it not having any stupidly tight turns with skinnies etc.
Plus it's a nice way away from my local crowd so we can hide a bit and not tell anyone if it goes horribly wrong

Yeah...but mine are stabled about 10 minutes away so we might just have to come and watch...and grass you up

I did the intermediate there in 05 & 06. It was my first intermediate and it is reasonably straightforward. The worst fence IMO is the combination by the foley. This is after a steep hill up and is three elements with one stride to a bounce. In 05 they had a long route which I took but in 06 there was no true long route & I had a refusal there.
As you probably remember the run home is a long drag up hill but the last few fences are not too big.
As I say this is from 05 & 06 so they may have made some changes last year. If the weather is dry then it can look hard but IMO they always work on the going in dry conditions.

i did the pony club event last year and because the sj arena is on a hill, it's very windy and all the poles fell off easily! there were few clears
