I thought the jumping sale prices were terrible. A Quidam de Revel for £3400!! That would have hardly covered the stud fee, let alone all the other expenses. Also just £2500 for a 3 year old Lupicor stallion, there is no way they did not make a loss on that one. There were many withdrawn, not sold and the prices I felt were very poor on the whole. In my book 5 sales (of out of 45 horses forward) of over £10K does not constitute a good sale I am afraid, especially when this is supposed to be a "Specialist/Elite" sale of Showjumpers.

Also according to the Brightwells website, the top price for the showjumpers was £17k for a 4 yr old Voltaire gelding. The lowest price was £2200 for a Mr Blue 3 year old mare.

If you were a buyer then you were laughing, as it looks like a lot of bargains were to be had.

It will be interesting to see the prices the dressage horses made, as this is not available on the Brightwells website yet.
