I am a lurker and don't normally post but today felt that I had to. I wish to say thank you to all the people on here that unknowingly gave me the advise and conviction to go with my heart for Brigitte.

Brigitte has been lame on and off for the past two years, nearly a year ago an MRI confirmed what we thought were our worst fears, navicular changes in both fronts, collateral ligament and deep digital flexor tendon damage. After many months of vet treatments she was still severely lame to the point I was given a week to make the decision of having her pts or denerving and never riding her again. If I thought she was in pain throughout any of this I would not have hesitated to make the tough decision.

Knowing I was out of conventional options I contacted Nic and admit that it was the best decision that we made. Looking at Rockleys blog today made me emotional even though she is still lame that is the best she has looked in the two years. All I can say again is thank you to everybody that has unknowingly helped with advice and especially Nic for giving us hope that someday Brigitte will be ridden and maybe competed again.

She's just showing Pete her moves! Hee hee! Seriously what a lovely girl. Hopefully they might meet again at the Rockley Reunion. Got to have a plan!

Thanks everybody for the positive replies, she is a lovely girl with a fab temperament.

I am sure that she will continue to show Pete her moves in the time they are still at the horsey spa. Hope they can catch up at the reunion she will probably try and slip him her mobile number before she leaves.

If she were mine, I would be in tears too. What an improvement, you must be so pleased.

I sat next to a lady at a Pete Ramey clinic, where he described to everyone the "traditional" treatment and usual outcome for navicular. She told me that was exactly what had happened to her 10 year old that had been PTS in the end and it broke her heart to think that it might have been possible to save her.
