Just found a website called Crack On. They have some lovely horses for sale. Has anyone ever bought from them please. Just a little concerned now buying from a selling yard with all the bad publicity some of them have received. Would be very grateful for any info. Thanks a lot :

Didn't crack on used to be called by a different name? Try googling it, and see what you can come up with. Im sure I read something like that in H&H a while back - but then I may be wrong.

Oh they're back, are they? Crack On is the new trading name of the people who used to be BombProof and LazyPlods...let's just say that the words "touch, "don't" and "ten foot bargepole" spring to mind.

Obviously I am not allowed to give an opinion on this forum for fear of getting into trouble! So I am not going to say whether I think they are reputable or not. However I will say that I also had to take them to court. PM me if you want details.

Please put 'Bombproof horse dealers' into google and see what you get. Also look at the links below. They are the same people who operated Bombproof and Lazy Plods.

Also, if you ring Consumer Direct (which is part of trading standards) and mention their trading name, and previous trading names, they will tell you if they have past or current cases in relation to them. Please, please ring them!
Also, consumer direct will give you the same info on any dealer. Useful to remember.

There was a long discusion on soap box yesterday, complete with a wonderful explanation, would post the link, but have to go and feed the dogs!

Thank you so much for all your replies. Especially Myhorsefred. I am so sorry but don't know how to pm (quite new to this forum, but find it extremely useful.) I think I have read enough to steer well clear and be patient. The horses looked so nice and they all have separate videos of them doing most things from hacking down a main road to schooling and jumping. Such a well organised site! I think on a lighter note I would rather be without a man than a horse (hope my Husband of 38 years doesn't read this) I am so fed up of not hacking out. Have to take up knitting, certainly cheaper. Thanks again to all of you.
