Took Murphy to a local fun show today and we had a brilliant day

We hacked down there, then had to jump off and quickly change his bit ready for the dreaded dressage. Did our test, and I thought it was pretty awful TBH

so was very shocked to get placed...we came 6th and have qualified for the champs!!

Then we could change him back into his beloved pelham, so off we went to do our clear rounds, and Murphy was very lazy and had one down in the 1ft9 CR, but clear in the 2ft CR - biggest we've jumped away from home! But because he was such hard work, I withdrew from the 2ft class, and just did the 1ft9. They combined the classes in the end, Murphy woke up, jumped double clear and came 2nd

On to the showing...had to quickly hop off after the jumping, get his saddle off, and run into the Best Condition class, where we came 2nd

Then tacked up again and did Riding Club Pony...which we won

I was sooo pleased with how he went, he worked really nicely, jumped well and even managed to get left canter!

Then we hacked home, totally exhausted! It was such a fab day, loads of people from my yard went and it was a really nice atmosphere...exactly what having a horse is all about.

I'm really proud of how he's looking at the moment

Pedantic, I don't know where I got the energy!! I'm aching all over and by the time we got back my bum was numb!
