1st couple of hunts I felt a bit out of control and although an adrenaline rush, cant say I really enjoyed it but Boxing Day and yesterday I have had the most amazing time. The hunt is so well organised, they really look after everyone and make sure all are ok and they have some amazing land and jumps. Cant believe I've missed out all these years - am hooked now!!! Even took out a subscription for the rest of the season. Big thumbs up to the draghunt - really lovely, friendly bunch of people too

I'm so jealous Star! I have to agree though such a friendly bunch of people, really welcoming and great days out, but my horse just loses the plot so she's not allowed to go anymore and she's ruined my fun! Glad that you're getting on so well though and Llewi's taken to it.

Star I have followed your progress (as you and I were posting "help can't stop out hunting" posts at the same time, lol) and it's so great to hear you are going great guns and really enjoying your hunting now. I desperately want to get another couple of hunts in before the end of the season, so I know whether I have a hunter for next year! (Or just a horse I have to calm down all summer!)

I am going to try the pelham with two reins next time (closest I can get to a double). I know exactly what you mean about having an adrenalin rush but not enjoying quite as much as you should - it's hairy with dodgy brakes isn't it?!

Am also going to look into dragging, though not sure what we have going on in Gloucestershire, but from your posts it does sound so much fun. Like you I want to improve our jumping and would like to know I have the opportunity to jump lots, and perhaps start a bit smaller and get bigger with time. Will look at your pics later as I can't view them at work. Well done!!
