Ralph developed tenosynovitis in May of this year, he was on box rest for 6 weeks and then restricted to a small paddock. After 5 weeks, he was given the all clear to be ridden; however, I was then informed that I required surgery which will include a 6-8 wk recovery, so I decided to give him the summer off and bring him back into work in November/December of this year.

My question is, what is the best way to go about bringing him back?? Thank you in advance :)

I will be interested to read the replys to this. My mare was dianosed with tenosynovitis last august. She had a tenoscopy and annular ligament desmotomy on july 26th this year. A week later, august 5th she was rushed back to leahurst suffering a septic tendon sheath. She survived and is home and well now. Another week of box rest and i can start walking her out with a view to ride again in 4 weeks time. I do hope your horse is ok :) x
