Hi guys, looking for a bit of advice about bringing my mare back into work.

She was bucking so I had a physio see her and she's been treated and had the rest she needed and I've been given the all clear to bring her back into work slowly. Physio told me to start her off in a pessoa to really strengthen her back (which was very weak) so I've been doing that every other day for two weeks starting off at 5 mins and working up to 20 mins now which is the max I want to do in it because I know it's hard work for her. When do you think it's appropriate to start riding?

She was fairly fit before, long hacks both weekend days and 45 mins schooling two to three times a week and usally a lunging session, she was totally off for three weeks before two weeks in the pessoa :)

Thanks, I've got double choc chip cookies if you can understand my ramble :D

that was my plan really, keeping her days off and slowly replacing every other lunging sesh with riding in the school just in walk and trot.

Any other opinions?
