I'm bringing my big dressage dope back into work in a few weeks, he's 15, but soes not show his age one bit, he looks about 10-11 ish and acts about 6.

He has a dodgy back leg when not in work, it shows symptoms of shivers (he has an off walk, leg goes up and out and down, and when you pick his foot up he holds it very high). Causes him no pain, has been looked at by many different vets and physios. We suspect it's to do with him being cramped in the womb (mother was 14hh, he's 16.2 atleast), and his muscle didn't develope properly, so when not worked and loosened it is tight. Always been the same since about a yearling untill now, never gotten any worse or better.

Once he has been warmed up, the leg is normal (obviously, or he wouldn't be able to do what he does...). When in full time work, the amount he does it in the field is reduced by like 70%.

As he's getting on a bit, before I bring him back into work, I want to put him on a joint supplement, to support him a bit more.
He's got nothing wrong with his joints, but I just think as he's now getting on a bit, it would be a good idea, also maybe something to help with his leg...

I don't want to spend mega-bucks, as he's not arthritic or anything.

So guys, suggestions please? I know you lot are a fountain of knowledge!
