Hi, my horse has been out of work for a month as we found she had arthritis in her hocks. She has now been treated for it and I am able to start bringing her back into work. At the moment im just doing a small hack of 15 mins and then 10 mins in the school doing 20metre circles in walk and then trot. Nothing too heavy. Does anyone else have any tips on brining a horse back into work. Thanks

Lots of straight line walking and hills. I look after a horse who has arthritis in her hocks and shes not able to do circles in the school anymore so its just hacking out for her. The hacking strengthens just about everything whereas in the school its quite hard work for them. Build up the ridden time gradually, they do say that little and often usually works the best.
