Am hoping to bring my cob back into work after a 9 month turn-away period.
She was turned away due to me having a baby. She lives out 24/7, she went into winter very fat, now shes on the good side of *lean*.
She is now rising 5. Before being turned away she was hacking and light schooling 5 x per week.

I am having the saddler out so hoping to start her the end of the week.

I will be doing the following:

2 weeks of walking in short 15 min sessions - which will be done in the menage
2 weeks walking on short hacks - involves a couple of hills (20 mins)
2 weeks of hacking in walk again - 45 min hacks includes a few hills

Introduce trotting at week 7
Introduce cantering at week 10
Start some schooling sessions by week 12

I hope to start introducing jumping toward june as she should be fit enough by then.

Does this seem okay? i don't want to do too much too soon and want to build her fitness up at the same time :) i hope to introduce her to cubbing later on in the year

Sounds fab but don't forget to get your saddler out again in a couple of months as she changes chape due to muscle building up...sounds like your going to have a cracking summer together...fingers crossed for the weather :)
