Soon T'will be time to wean foaly & eventually bring Starla back into work. Obviously she's had months & months off work...
Is there much difference in bringing a mare back into work after foaling, than there is to bringing a horse back into work after injury, or general time off? ...Is there anything i should be careful to do/not to do?
Obviously I want Starla to be comfortable, and dont want to over do it...
In my head i have a sort of plan... Which starts with lunging her in walk with her tack on for the first few days, then hoping on and plodding round the field once or twice...then building this up and doing 3-4 weeks building up in walk, then adding little bits of trott and building up from this...
Is this the right sort of plan to have?
