BRITISH BREDS BEAT THE BEST AT HOYS


British Bred horses triumphed at HOYS with Championship wins in the following classes:

Horse & Hound Foxhunter Championships Sultan V
Owned and bred by the Old Lodge Stud and ridden by Bruce Menzies.
Sultan V is an AES 7 year old grey gelding, by Irco Mena out of Lianta (by Voltaire).

BSJA Classic Championship Don Douglas
Owned and bred by Mrs A Wolley Dod and ridden by Ian Wynne.
Don Douglas, a British Hanoverian 9 year old dark bay gelding, by Demonstrator out of Grandezza (by Winkellied).

Hoys.co.uk CUP Anderida Anica
Owned by Mrs L Barker and bred by Mr Petracopoulos, Anderida Stud, ridden by Paul Barker
Anderida Anica, an AES 12 year old grey mare, by Animo out of Cambretta (by Campione).

Blue Chip Feed Balancer Pony Newcomers Championship Tireve Midnight Express
Owned by Mr D Cain, bred by Mr A F & Miss D J Everitt, and ridden by Jasmine Cain
Tireve Midnight Express, a Welsh Pony & Cob Section D, 11 year old, 147cms black gelding, is by Tireve Tywysog Du out of Macula Hibiscus (by Macula Buckthorn).

HOYS Grade C Championship Sultan V

Voltaire is still a force to be reckoned with in jumper breeding. I think that British breds do so well because of the superior nutrition of your land as it brings out the full genetic potential. I am in Ocala Florida USA and we are noticing the best horses seem to come from your region, also Ireland and Normandy in France. Bravo to British breeders! The disbelieving crowd, where were they from do you know?
