British Flyball Championships

Hi. Sorry I missed you. We did really well, thanks. 7 Teams: 2 x2nd places, 3 x 4th Places 1 x 5th Place and the icing on the cake was a WIN for Skye's team on Friday. She (with her team mates) are Division 39 Champions!

How about you?

Acremead is my next one.

Oh wow good weekend for you then! We had 3 teams, one of which (mine) was our first open! We came 6th (lol) in Div 19 - only managed 2 clean legs but managed 50 points so pleased with the pooch! Other teams were 4th and 5th I think! We're at Potters Bar next!

I missed this too! I was there all weekend with Shawcross, my team was racing on saturday in Division 16, but only came 6th. Dogs ran fantastically but us handlers messed it up with lights, slightly annoying as we threw two races away totally, including against the winners who we had on time! But very proud of the dogs, our 4 team dogs only came out of starters this summer and they get faster every time we race - I was ecstatic at running under 20 seconds in May and now we're about to go under the 19 second mark.

You were against one of our teams then! They were div 16 :) unlucky with the lights, but as you say, pleased with the dogs!

Like our team in div 19, we only managed 2 clean legs all day, due to run outs, interferance etc, but it was the first open for all our dogs, AND at the champs - it was a big ask! We were all cheering away when we had a clean leg - the other team were stood there like "why are you cheering, you lost?!" but we didn't care :)

Well done to all of you. It's great to win but at the end of the day, the main thing is that the dogs and you enjoy it.
I know I did, even though Monty decided to run out a couple of times. Skye was in our second slowest team which was why we were absolutely thrilled with the win.
Did you watch Div 1? The Aces were brilliant with the dog which appeared a little spooked by all the crowds.

Yes, watched the div 1 - my heart was racing! I actually choked when that dog got stage fright! Was soo cute to see him cuddling up to the handlers, but bl00dy well done to it for coming back and running clean! I heard it was it's first time in div 1! No pressure like the champs!

Not sure what happened to the terrier in High Flyers between morning and afternoon racing though - they lost their height dog and had to got NFC :( must be soo gutting!

I thought it was a shame too and also a shame they couldn't have run at full height, as they had 4 other dogs. However that would more than likely have affected heir seed time so that could be the reason.
