british open showjumping championships - worth going?

want to go this year so just wondered what people thought of it. is the shopping etc good? any views welcome!

Hi I went when it was in Sheffield, before it moved to the NEC. I really enjoyed it, but for the action rather than the shopping! The shopping wasn't very good TBH, but there is very limited space at Sheffield so I imagine it'll be better at the NEC as there's a lot more room for stands...

I went last year and the shopping was fab!!!! Going again this year....got front row seats the only good thing to come out of mates accident is she now gets to sit in the disabled area! and before you jump on me for being heartless...its her way of coping to laugh it off!! She is chuffed she gets free parking!!

my daughter and I went on the finals day and it was GREAT. The show jumping was amazing (good seats too) atmosphere really good and for other finals the organisers got everyone involved shouting to spur on the teams in the polo, pony races etc. The shopping...well not as good as Olympia but as a day out would recommend.
We've booked to go back this year.!!!!

I went last year, i won tickets on the radio!!! yey free day out... the show was great, was dissapointed with the shopping as was picturing it to be like HOYS but sadly it wasnt, probably about a quarter of what is at hoys, would go again if i got free tickets!!

went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. displays were excellent far better than HOYs in my opinion...

Going saturday night this year for the puissance and can't wait
