British Show jumping Rules

I'm thinking about buying a horse that has too many winnings to compete at British Novice, but I myself have never competed higher than this. Are there affiliate 90cm British Showjumping classes I can compete in without going HC? Are the Open classes open to anyone or do his winnings put me out of all 90cm classes?

I haven't been a member of BSJA for a while and never got high enough to need to know any of this before!

BS Intro shows always have 90cms Amateur classes & any grade of horse can compete, regardless of winnings. You could move up to 1m Amateur classes at those shows when you felt ready. Being out of BN would not put me off buying a horse. Good luck!

Dont quote me on this, but Im pretty sure you can compete in 90cm open classes as they are open to any horse/rider combination
