Don't know about horses but isn't that an overnight crossing through the Bay of Biscay (can be rough!)

I know I'm not being any help at all - but I know my parents use it sometimes when they are driving to Spain and would ask them but they are there at the moment in the sunshine!!

Yes, Brittany will take horses, just need to check that Plymouth will let them back in (ie they have to be able to process the passports).
