Hi,
I live 10 mins up the road and we are hard. I jumped my boy last weekend and he was happy on it though. Just be careful on the downhill bits because it can be a bit rutted, depending on what work has been done. Just have a good nosey when your walking it! I'm sure the BE stewards will keep it all in order! Have fun!!!

We've just come back from walking it, I live 5 mins away. It is firm in places with the occassional slightly rutted bit, HOWEVER, they have watered a fair bit of it and were going round with water tankers while we are there so I reckon the ground will improve a fair bit yet. I'm happy to run mine on it at the moment and I think if they're still watering that it will be even better tomorrow.
There is loads of grass cover and I believe they are also watering the SJ. The only conundrum I am having is whether to stud. I didn't bother at ALW last week and she was fine but Broadway is quite twisty. She is a bit of a pain to stud so may well not bother.
