Now I'm assuming not many as its Badminton!...... but anyone else think that made for a nice quiet competition opportunity!?!

We are doing the IRF- think Carthorse is too- am I right?!

Anyone else? First event of the year- am nervous already!!

Yes we are doing IRF on coloured but the last 2 competitions with him have been disappointing but had two great lessons this week dressage with Partoow and jumping with Steven Smith and he has been great in the lessons but he is a strange horse and can just go so tense at a show, still I am going to try to remember everything this week. I actually think if the sj where bigger I might ride better as I fiddle when they are small .I have another chance at regionals so probably go to milton keynes for that. Are you doing 2 day at offchurch and which class?

Glad hes been good this week! Hopefully see you sat- I have a long wait before SJ! Am really nervous for some reaon!

Not doing 2DE as hopefully doing PN at Draycott the next week and thought its a bit much to do both. Would do the Intermediate tho as he was a star last year and 3rd in the Novice- felt it best to end that on a good note!!

Me!

I live 10 minutes down the road so I can have a lie in!

Be nice if we could manage a sub-40 dressage for once and maybe to jump at least some of the XC fences from trot rather than canter

The joys of green, suspiscious horses!

Good Luck all!

Did you get that round the right way? you want to jump them from trot!

We were going to do Prestwold regional on 2 day week but as he has been going poo thought we might just do inter 2 day, it may be the ground, but he never sore and is 100% next day.Maybe if you have time you might give me some advise in your professional capacity

Me! I'm an IRF person too (also scared as want to do well!)

I also have a suspicious pony, we've made it to canter, but now aiming for a forward canter!

I've stupidly been messing around with her flatwork which I now really regret - at Tweseldown Unaff she got 28 with the comment 'needs to be more uphill for even more marks' (which I already knew) but for some stupid reason I have started a 'let's be more uphill campaign' and it is not going well!! So, rubbish dressage here we come :-(

Good luck all!

Matafleur- what section- will have a nosey to use some of my long waiting time!!

Carthorse- happy to advise. Has he been checked before? If its not ffet/legs be worth checking back etc. Too late to treat now as would be sore competing next day but happy to watch on sat and see if its worth having an appointment after?

Thank you not been checked this year ,at sapey 2nd after dressage since then been pants but in lesson he was great and I started to understand him. He is tender around girth and chest area I think but if you look at him we could arrange treatment he has also lost some condition lately .THANKS

Intro C - A Star Design. He is a spotty hairy pony - you can't miss us!

I will be the one looking ill before the dressage. I am hoping he may go clear xc as he has schooled here in the past. We still get lots of time faults though as he needs taking slowly - he's not a natural eventer!

Which section are you?

I'm number 3 in Section A- No Rules Jools. Dont know ehy I'm scared as did double clear last spring and flew round- but 1st event of the season and all that!

Will look out for you- sure you will be fine!!

28 would be wonderful, but I have made her very angry by trying to get her more uphill so now she bears her teeth and is very yanky and angry! I just wish I'd left her alone! Oh well, too late now.

Have a great day - I'll look out for you, but I'm nearer the end of the section.

I am there on Sunday doing the Novice. Late times so looks like I will not be getting home till 8pm.

Hey!
Im going with my young horse for the pre novice-what is the course like? I have never been before!

Supposed to be very straightforward. I have entered the Novice on this recommendation! I will be so upset if the SJ is enormous and the XC is horrendous! I have gone back to PN at SLM as that really is technical!

Whats SML (sorry to sound dumb there?!)
Yea im hoping for a nice straightforward galloping track! Fingers crossed then!

Stockland Lovell
Broadway needs a fit horse according to my friend as very up and down hills.

Oh right sorry about that. Yea im going there too for the PN as hoping to do the PAVO at the second one in july! i like stockland lovell-but thats prob only bcos my other horse has always been a good boy there!

Broadway is very straightforward at all levels but is very hilly!

The water in the PN is a house with I think 2 strides to a step in then a step out and stride to a house. I've not walked the distances so may be wrong. Apart from that there is nothing very difficult.

Yeah, should all be fine. Theres nothing too awful in PN or Nov from what I've seen.

And as for hills, only real uphill at the start (mine is half ID and cant do hills !) After that mostly downhill or flat home. If mine can cope should be fine!!

Im meant to be going entered for the novice (was going to be my first one) but still trying to change to pn - my horse has got to fat. Its my favourite event and would be an excellent first novice.

Yup, mine is a right porker too. It is depressing, we had about two drops of rain, the ground is rock hard, there is barely any more visible grass, and yet she looks like she's about to give birth! Oh well, all gas (I hope!!)
