Axel trod on his reins this morning, pulled back and snapped his bridle! It broke both sides of the head piece and just fell off.
Its one of the Rhinegold Comfort bridles and the hole where the noseband goes through on top of the headpiece must be a weak spot as thats where it broke

What a shame I'm going to have to buy him a new bridle now

Would love an Elevator bridle, are they worth buying?

Whether they're the same or not comes down to the amount of padding over the poll area. I know, for example, that the Sue Carson ones are no where near as padded as the elevator... but the Albion ones, as another example, are.

Just a word of warning in regards to the elevator bridles too. We have several on our yard - mixed with albion, sue carson, passier and some others. I personally dont think the elevator bridles wear very well at all. We do look after our tack as its all cleaned daily but the elevator bridles look older than they should and they're just not wearing as well as the other makes we have.

They certainly make a lot of elaborate claims, but I dont find them to do anything other than any correctly padded bridle to do so unless you're especially hung up on the idea of having one - Id look at other brands

thanks, and to be honest I have gone off them a bit now, the hole in the headpiece where the noseband goes through was splitting anyway, and that's where the bridle broke on both sides!

I would just like a nice black bridle that I can go dressaging in!

I agree with Tierra. I bought mine two years ago and its fading so that it looks brown, when really its black. I also didn't notice a difference in my horse when I bought it (as marketing suggests) so wouldn't buy another. Think there are better value deals too, with reins included for example.
