I would be interested to hear users experience of encouraging skin regeneration on very badly broken knee. 16 weeks since accident (6 of which were in vet hospital). Would like to speed up skin growth so that the bandaging can be removed.

Blimey, poor horse, what a long time. Mine went down on the road downhill too, and skidded for about 5 feet, the vet was unsure if joint oil was lost, after cleaning we applied vets own poultice and bandaged, Harley stayed in for a fortnight, and then was turned out with no bandaging, just proflavine cream on the wounds, this was three years ago. I used proflavine cream for a few weeks, but nothing else. The proflavine seemed to work very well, my horse came healed well although there are two scars about the size of a 20p piece. Hope you can sort this out.

My horse also went down on the road- I used Camrosa untill the wound was dry and then covered it with Cornucrescine to get the hair to grow back. Apparently it's not the Cornucrescine that causes hair regrowth but the motion of rubbing it in that stimulates blood flow so whatever you use make sure it's well rubbed in! Hope that helps.
