My horse had a freak accident last week, we think he got cast in the stable and has chipped the bones around his fetlock and has a hair line fracture in his long pastern. He has been sent to Newmarket for Ian wright to treat and he has had a operation today to remove chips and clean up the area effected.
At the moment we have no prognosis but will be on two weeks box rest, 6 weeks hand walking and 6 weeks ridden walk then reassess.
Does anyone have any tips to aide healing? We are thinking of an arc equine machine? Has anyone got any experience of this machine?
 
You could always look into turmeric for the pain/inflammation? If you're on facebook have a look at "tumeric users group" Also have a look into comfrey, if you search threads on here or google lots of threads come up, I here that helps healing but don't have personal experience.

Poor you and your poor horse, must be awful for you both.
