Broodmare...£50...

On Dragon Driving, 5 year old mare who foaled last year, has been running with a stallion this year and 'thought to be in foal' .... shes £50, who knows who will buy her!
I just find it so sad.....especially as she looks so like my old lady

My second pony will be a 'rescue' from Dragon Driving. Unfortunately I dont have the money for this one just yet. Really wanted to breed quality horses but decided rescuing was much more worthwhile.

and its not just at DD either. At the auctions nice ponies backed and gelded are fetching around that price.

I already have 2, and had to sell my filly (little mares yearling foal) as I couldnt afford to keep 3. Luckily my filly went to a fab home, but its not the case for so many others. I just feel I should do something I can afford to buy her, but not to keep her or her foal. I have plenty of grazing, but the land owner charges by the pony, and I dont think I would be able to afford it for very long, especially if she needs vet attention.
Feel very very useless!!x

It is a very sad time, too many horses out there and not enough good homes, the prices are crazy, I wish people would stop breeding all these unwanted horses

A dealer friend picked up a beautiful gelding with superb bloodlines, who had won in the ring for £80 a few weeks ago. Its awful!
