I logged onto the Brooke Hospital for Animals website yesterday to find something out and saw that in the really poor countries even little foals are made to work.

It got me thinking that we all go on about worrying about our horses, have we done something wrong, or we feel guilty about putting our horses out on a day like this, but really, they are all in clover and so lucky, by comparison.

So, I am being very hard today and not feeling guilty about my poor girly left out in the rain and wind (in her ears to tail warm and cosy rug) because she lives the life of reilly (spelling?!). We need to get things in perspective!

Some of these animals have truly dismal lives.

it's very sad and not many people support them, I sned them money monthly and although it isn't a cure for them, with the donations they can educate the owners better on how to look after the donkeys and also they explain that they should not use the babies. In fairness most of the owners once told listen and stop working the babies - still very heart wrenching though
