I was thinking of hiring out the Brooksby xc course, but the Rearsby Lodge website says the smallest xc class is 2ft6 - 2ft9, so do they not have any smaller fences or is the course not up to height? What is the 2ft6 - 2ft9 course like?

Thanks :)

thanks Deefa :) I doubt I would actually enter the xc, just go schooling one day:) I think I could just about manage 2ft 6, but do you know if there's anything full up to height at 2ft 9? I would also be worried about being over-taken and pony thinking he's going hunting :p I would probably be trotting/slow cantering round :p

oh that sounds ok :)
i had another look on the website but it says the course is only available for walking on the saturday between 2-4pm, but i wouldn't be able to get there for that time, coz I have a saturday job and i would only be able to get there for about 5pm :(

thanks for the info :)

Quite often you can walk the course on the day if you arrive with enough time to do it before you ride :) There may be people riding round the course at that point though so you would have to be careful of being run over! ;)

Just walk it on the competition day :) You will be fine! I will be there with madam (if I get my finger out and enter!) so may see you there :)

Yes it will - No excuses lady!! :p

Haha :p Well my original plan was just to hire it out, not compete anyway! :p Maybe next time, my mum says I can have a lesson at Field Farm on the xc course instead, and then I think NFRC has a mini ODE at the end of June, or I'll find something else :)

Thanks for all the info, everyone :)
