Broomhill Trec today - inc Team Pink Vid!! - Self Indulgent

Really enjoyed it today! Bought May some new Pink boots this morning to match the saddle cloth/saddle pad.

She did'nt like the first Obsticle, and there are things I should have/could have done for a better score, but it was a real fun day

And all the practicing I had done for the low branches and they were not in it!

We managed a total score of 69, would have been much better if I had'nt messed the canter up at the beginning!

I had my first bash at Trec last weekend. It made a refreshing change, was great fun, very laid back and both of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

I got a 4th which I couldn't believe. LOL.

I can't wait to do the next one. I am not sure how I would cope with the Orienteering bit but I am sure we will be OK.

I am glad you enjoyed it too!!

I asked a random stranger to vid for me!!! Tacked up and went to the warm up, vid camera in hand and a couple of guys were stood there, so handed it to one of them to vid me!

Can you tell us what the course was in detail as I couldn't make it all out on the video (what was the running in hand about...I wd need to get fit for that...eek!) I like the "team pink" colours! (First 2 secs of the video was you both in dressage mode - I thought "blimey I will have to smarten up a lot to keep up with L154!")

1 - you had to walk through the passage and hole punch a card
2 - S Bend
3 - Canter corridoor
4 - over the Bridge
5 - Bending
6 - Reverse passage
7 - Brush Fence
8 - Dismount and lead over ditch
9 - Immobility (ha! don't think she will EVER do that!)
10 - Re - mount (only ran due to time constraints - I did'nt realise you only got points if you mounted from the ground inside the circle - doh!)

Then the walk at the end!

Hey if lorry passes its plating on Thursday I'll let you know when I've got some days off work and I wouldn't mind going up before May as I now seem to be happier jumping Pidge and popped a 2'3" fence on Saturday without even thinking about it

Trec looks pretty good! Bit like grown-up gymkhana with other elements thrown in - and you get a good long time for your money! I love the pink stuff. I take it your leg is all better now then. You both look great!

I like do lots of different things with May as she (sorry, we) would get bored just doing dressage
