some of you may remember me posting about my old mare who suffers with paralysis of the larynx and her having a reaction to ventipulmin from the vet which made her so bad we considered having her put to sleep.
well im happy to say she is now alot better. We have been playing around with sedatives and anti inflamotorys to stop her being so air hungry and she is now off the seadtives but still on the anti inflamatorys (shes staying on these). Im stocked up on sedatives incase she has a bad day but the last 5 days she has been brilliant, and she reduced me to tears this morinng (maybe my hormones as im 6 and half months pregnant)
i took her up to the field this morning, her head was up she was really walking out. she started throwing her head around a little (nothing nasty just excited). i took her in the field took her headcollar off and she just stood there looking down the field. she then looked at me i gave her a pat and she galloped off like a two year old whinnying her head off. she cleared the whole 12 acres to meet up with her friends who then set off galloping and they all had a mad 5 minutes running up and down the field. But my old girl was leaping and bucking and just generally having fun.
it was so emotional to watch as i thought i was going to lose her a few weeks ago and i really didnt no weather to laugh or cry, but she will probably regret it in the morning lol
on the otherhand my other old girl whos 20 is lame
bloody horses have to keep you worrying dont they
