Thought I would update after Thursdays incident for anyone interested. I spoke to my instructor this morning and she suggested and let me borrow a chiffney bit, its one with keys on like a breaking bit. I brought him in this afternoon with the head collar and chiffney, he went to mess about in the same place as last time and went to go up but once I reminded him he had a head collar and chiffney (just a gentle reminder) he decided not to go up like last time and then came in ok, I groomed him, did a bit of groundwork - moving him over, back etc which he did fine as usual and then led him back out, he was also good going out.:) We did bring him in with my mum’s mare today, I will bring him in with another a few times and then try bringing him on his own.
I did lead him in and out wearing my body protector, hat and gloves for safety, still achy from last time.:o

I do hope he continues to be good, I was planning on getting on him to start backing him but want to put a stop to the rearing first.
