Okay so I'd love to have a go at making my own browband. The diamanté type rather than ribbon. But my question is, where to find a plain curved browband suitable for adding diamantés? I was thinking of sewing/ wrapping them on so don't want one with a pre cut channel.

Also, any tips on how to actually do the decorating. In my head it seems like it would be fairly easy - line them up and wrap them in place, but in reality, I think my version may end up looking like my horse has actually done it herself!

Also would love to see your homemade creations :)

Sorry they are huge and not quite what you were talking about because I've used ribbon but they may give you an idea. This one I made as a christmas present for a friend, I used stick on little diamante's (they seemed pretty sturdy when stuck onto the ribbon, I tested one before hand and it didn't want to come back off :)) and on the outside edges I used little diamante buttons that I used pliers on to take the loop at the back off so it was relatively flat and then used my hot glue gun to stick it on.
You can find a variety of plain browbands for making sparkly/ribbon covered browbands on ebay, sometimes it takes a bit of searching but it's doable :)
I've got a few more ribbon ones in my album, they are so easy to make it's unreal! I've never gone for a proper blingy one but I'm sure you could do it fairly easily :)
Pics when you're done? :)

Have a look on ebay for your browband, also try preloved. I have the materials here to make a blingy one, am off next week for a few days so going to make a start! am thinking of making a pearl one too :)
I used to make ribbon ones with the rosettes at the sides but these took ages to make - up to a whole day for one!!

I also have a sewing machine someone has given to me so planning on some horsey projects this year, was going to make a xc set :D
